It has been confirmed that the furlough scheme will be extended until the end of March. It will cover up to 80% of an employee's wage (up to £2,500 a month).

Job Support Scheme for businesses that are forced to close
Part-time Job Support Scheme (for businesses affected by restrictions)
In all cases, employers have to pay NI and minimum pension contributions.
Workers made redundant after 23 September can be rehired and put on furlough.
Support to self-employed
Self-employed will be able to claim support through the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS), which will be in place from November to January. It will cover 80% of average trading profits, up to a maximum of £7,500.
